  • Gator Corner Dining - by the O’Connell Center near where Stadium Rd. intersects Gale Lemerand
  • the Reitz Union Food Court on the first floor of the Reitz Union
  • The Hub on Stadium Rd. behind Turlington
  • Racquet Club Dining Center - on Fletcher Dr. (across from the Hub), behind the stadium

We’ll form groups at tomorrow’s meeting and decide when we’re going to go to these places. Hope to see you there.

As mentioned, we’re gonna be teaming up soon to compile info about all the vegetarian/vegan options in the restaurants and dining halls on campus. Our goal is to make it easy for everyone to eat meat- and/or dairy-free at UF.

We’ll update here soon with a list of all the places we’re going to be hitting up, then we’ll get into groups and go have some fun.

Our next meeting will be Thursday Feb. 21 at 6pm in Rinker, room 225… so jot that down in your planners. Hope to see you there!

  • Ener-G egg replacer

    • You can find this egg replacer at most health food stores, like Mother Earth in Gainesville.

  • 2 Tbsp. water + 1 Tbsp. oil + 2 tsp. baking powder = 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup pureed soft tofu = 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup soy yogurt = 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch + 3 Tbsp. water = 1 egg
  • half a mashed banana = 1 egg

    • This is best for sweet recipes if you don’t mind a hint of banana flavor.

When a recipe contains milk, simply substitute plain or vanilla soy, rice or almond milk.

Climate change is the most serious challenge facing the human race. The livestock sector is a major player, responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions measured in CO2 equivalent. This is a higher share than transport.
